Covered vegetable dish – attributed to GDA
Description
Covered vegetable dish in white Limoges porcelain, attributed to the Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot (GDA) factory. In the absence of a stamp, this attribution is based on the stylistic characteristics of the model, particularly its embossed decoration, vegetal handles, and elegant silhouette, typical of this manufacturer's productions.
This model captivates with its understated elegance and the delicacy of its entirely embossed decoration. The body is punctuated by wide fluted reserves separated by delicate mouldings, while the lid echoes this play of fine radiating grooves. The side handles and central knob, inspired by stylized branches, add an organic touch that contrasts with the rigor of the lines.
A refined piece that will find its place both on a reception table and in a collection of Limoges porcelain.
Excellent general condition. No chips, cracks or restorations. Presence of a discreet firing point (iron inclusion) on the lid, original from the factory, with no impact on aesthetics or use.
