Wheel-Thrown and Glazed Stoneware Pitcher – France, 2nd Half of the 20th Century.

Turned and enameled stoneware pitcher, made in France in the second half of the 20th century, circa 1960-1970.

Its generous form combines a rounded body with a constricted neck animated by horizontal lines, extended by a slightly defined pouring spout and a looped handle. The surface, in a mottled brown-beige tone, is highlighted by a glaze with natural and irregular nuances that enhances the turning work.

A piece with simple and organic lines, representative of the aesthetic of post-war French artisanal stoneware. It can be used as a pitcher or repurposed as a vase.

Very good overall condition.
