Three Salad Plates – Manufacture Haviland – Gold Inlay – 21st Century
Description
Set of three salad plates in Limoges porcelain, Valençay pattern, made by the Haviland porcelain manufacture.
These small plates stand out for their generous and richly gilded decoration, featuring broad Greek key friezes and a central reserve adorned with scrollwork and stylized botanical motifs. The abundance of gilding gives them a luxurious, spectacular and slightly opulent character, particularly appealing for a table setting embracing a certain sense of grandeur.
The set features a sophisticated and richly detailed decoration, characteristic of Haviland tableware, combining the luminous whiteness of Limoges porcelain with extensive gilded detailing. The reverse bears the marking “Haviland 1842 – Manufacture à Limoges – Décoré à la main – Made in France”.
These three plates come from a factory clearance. They were classified as second quality when released by the manufacture. They have been preserved in their original factory condition and may display minor characteristics or irregularities associated with their second-quality classification, while remaining unused and free from apparent defects.
