Set of Six Dessert Plates – Minéral – Manufacture Raynaud – Limoges, Early 21st Century
Description
A set of six dessert plates in Limoges porcelain, made by Manufacture Raynaud. From the Minéral collection, designed by Thierry Cheyrou.
Measuring 22 cm in diameter, these plates feature a particularly striking decoration, engraved directly into the porcelain. Fine, elongated ridges radiate outwards from the centre, covering the entire upper surface. Their pattern evokes the structures and textures of the mineral world, creating a subtle interplay of light across the material.
A distinctive feature of these pieces lies in their contrasting surface finishes. The upper surface is entirely unglazed bisque porcelain, with a matte finish that reveals the intricacy of the relief. The underside, by contrast, is coated with a glossy white glaze, creating an elegant contrast between the mattness of the bisque and the luminosity of the glaze.
Both understated and distinctive, these plates illustrate a contemporary approach to tableware, in which the richness of the relief gives each piece its character. They provide an elegant setting for desserts, pastries and refined culinary creations.
A beautiful set for collectors of Limoges porcelain and admirers of contemporary design.
