Creamer – Rose pattern – Limoges porcelain
Description
This charming Limoges porcelain milk jug features an elegant faceted silhouette, adorned with a scrolled spout and a rococo-inspired wavy handle. Its decoration of delicate rose bouquets, in shades of pink and green, stands out finely against a luminous white porcelain.
The neck, spout, and handle are enhanced with intentionally nuanced, patinated-effect gilding, which highlights the piece's relief and gives it a lot of character. This finish, typical of certain Limoges productions from the mid-20th century, fully contributes to its charm.
Made around the 1950s, this milk jug evokes the then-popular Neo-Louis XV style. It will naturally find its place within a coffee or tea set, but can also be repurposed as an elegant decorative object.
