Milk jug - Art Deco - Union porcelain factory
Description
Limoges porcelain milk jug made by Union Porcelainière, circa 1930-1935. Its faceted octagonal shape, geometric handle, and angular spout perfectly illustrate the Art Deco aesthetic.
The decoration consists of a frieze of stylized roses in pink and grey tones, highlighted by a black geometric pattern. The edges and rim are enhanced with a platinum band, emphasizing the piece's architectural lines. The underside bears the green stamp "Union Porcelainière – Limoges France Unique," guaranteeing manufacture in Limoges.
This milk jug can be used at the table or displayed as a decorative object, alone or alongside other Art Deco pieces.
Good overall condition. A hairline crack is visible at the bottom, near the stamp. The platinum band and the frieze show very discreet signs of wear from use. No restoration.
