Vintage serving dish – Frank Haviland

This Limoges porcelain serving dish was produced by Frank Haviland in the early 20th century, circa 1900-1915. Its decoration of delicate scattered pink flowers and polychrome foliage, enhanced with fine gold accents, illustrates the elegance of late Art Nouveau.

The rim is punctuated by a molded shell relief and an undulating border. Two openwork handles, with vegetal forms enhanced with gold, add a sculptural touch that emphasizes the refinement of this piece. The porcelain, a slightly ivory white, highlights the delicacy of the floral decoration.
