Pair of Coffee Cups – Manufacture Raynaud – Limoges, 2nd Half of the 20th Century.

This pair of Limoges white porcelain coffee cups was made by the Raynaud factory.

Both cups have a slightly flared shape, enhanced by particularly elaborate relief decoration. The upper part is adorned with a frieze of rocaille motifs, while the body is punctuated by fine vertical fluting. The handles, with their curved and slightly angular lines, harmoniously extend the silhouette of the cups.

The uniform whiteness and fineness of the porcelain highlight the relief work, with no painted decoration or colored highlights.

Both pieces bear the green Raynaud mark from Limoges on the underside, with the letter “R” accompanied by a laurel branch and the mentions “LIMOGES” and “FRANCE”.

A model with classic accents, whose relief decoration evokes Rococo aesthetics while maintaining great sobriety thanks to the monochrome nature of the porcelain.
