Description

This pair of Limoges porcelain cups, in a subtly ivory shade, features delicate floral decoration placed exclusively on the interior of each piece.

Bouquets of roses in rich pink and dusty pink tones, accompanied by green foliage, adorn the inner walls. This decorative choice creates a subtle contrast with the understated, plain exterior surfaces. A fine brown line traces the rims and continues along the handles, whose angular, geometric lines evoke the Art Deco aesthetic.

The flared silhouette, subtle circular reliefs around the upper section and combination of a structured form with romantic floral decoration give this pair a distinctive charm.

Bearing the green “LIMOGES FRANCE” mark on their bases, these two cups can tentatively be dated to the mid-20th century. They will appeal to collectors of Limoges porcelain and vintage tableware, whether for everyday use, to complement a mismatched tea service or to add to a Limoges porcelain collection.
