Creamer – Manufacture Théodore Haviland – Limoges, c. 1926-1936

Elegant Limoges porcelain creamer made by the Théodore Haviland manufacture, adorned with a delicate floral motif in Byzantium and mauve tones on an ivory-white porcelain ground.

The central decoration features a bouquet of flowers dominated by a fully opened rose in deep Byzantium tones, accompanied by smaller flowers and foliage in subtle shades of mauve. Delicate flowering branches also punctuate the upper rim of the creamer.

The particularly elegant form features a slightly flared body resting on a small circular foot. The broad pouring spout extends into a delicately undulating lip. The tall, slender handle forms a graceful curve, accented with a fine line in matching mauve tones.

The warm ivory hue of the porcelain provides a refined contrast with the depth of the floral decoration, highlighting the delicacy of the composition.

The reverse bears the marks “Théodore Haviland Limoges France” in red and “Haviland France” in green, identifying the piece as a production of the Théodore Haviland manufacture in Limoges.
