Creamer – Manufacture Haviland – Limoges, 21st Century

Creamer in Limoges porcelain, made by Manufacture Haviland, one of the historic names of French porcelain.

The piece features a generously rounded form, with a low, curved body resting on a small foot and extending into a slightly flared neck. The fine, elegantly raised pouring spout follows a fluid, gently undulating line. A large loop handle, entirely gilded, complements the silhouette harmoniously.

The decoration combines the whiteness of the porcelain with several refined applications of gold. A wide matte gold ornamental border with geometric motifs encircles the upper part of the body, just below the neck. Finely executed, it features a regular succession of stylized and interlacing motifs. The border is outlined along both edges with fine bright-gold lines.

The rim of the neck and the spout are also accented with a fine gold line, while the handle features an even, glossy gilded finish. A further gold line highlights the lower part of the body and the foot.

The piece is distinguished by its particularly careful execution and by the elegant contrast between the matte finish of the gold border and the brilliance of the polished gilding.

This creamer comes from a factory clearance. It was classified as a second-quality piece when it left the factory. It remains in its original condition and may display minor characteristics or irregularities associated with this classification, while remaining new and without apparent defects.
