Porcelain Creamer – Limoges, Mid-20th Century

The piece features a simple, perfectly balanced form, with a delicately rounded body resting on a small foot, a finely shaped pouring spout, and a particularly slender, elegantly curved handle. This handle, with its light and elongated lines, is distinguished by its remarkable fineness, giving the piece an airy and refined silhouette. The pure white porcelain has a glossy enamel finish that enhances the delicacy and softness of the form.

Entirely white and free of painted decoration, this model relies on the simplicity of its design and the quality of its porcelain. The slender handle, contrasting with the softly rounded body, is one of the piece’s most distinctive details, reflecting a refined approach to the design of this elegant small serving piece.

The underside bears a green underglaze mark reading “LIMOGES – FRANCE”, accompanied by two stars and a central foliate motif. This mark has not yet been identified with certainty and therefore does not, at this stage, allow the piece to be attributed precisely to a particular Limoges manufacturer.
