Of great geometric elegance, this set features a particularly refined decoration of gilt lines. Each cup is accented with a fine gold rim, while two delicate concentric gilt lines are also applied to the inside, just below the lip. The saucers echo this composition with two concentric gilt circles and a fine gold border emphasizing their outer edge.

Gold is also applied to the handles, whose angular, slightly flared silhouette contributes fully to the set’s Art Deco aesthetic.

The understated decoration, reduced to a play of circular lines and gilt accents against the white porcelain, particularly enhances the purity of the forms. The even execution of the lines, especially those applied inside the cups, reflects the care devoted to the traditional art of gilding and line decoration.

The geometric shape of the cups, their clean-lined handles and the highly restrained composition of the decoration place this set, with good probability, around 1930, within the Art Deco period.
