Hand-Painted Teapot – Manufacture A. Giraud – Sauviat-sur-Vige, c. 1960

This teapot is distinguished by its generous form, featuring a slightly rounded body, a long, gently curved spout, and a large arched handle. The domed lid is topped with a geometric finial that adds a particularly refined touch to the overall design.

The white porcelain, finished with a glossy glaze, is entirely decorated with a hand-painted floral design. Flowers in various shades of pink and pale yellow, accompanied by green foliage and delicate stems, are naturally arranged across the body of the teapot and the lid. Subtle variations in color and fine painted accents bear witness to the craftsmanship involved.

The soft, slightly naturalistic floral composition contrasts elegantly with the luminous whiteness of the porcelain. The decoration extends harmoniously around the piece, while the lower section is accented by painted foliage forming a discreet botanical border.
