Celadon porcelain holds a special place in the history of the Haviland manufacture. Attested to since the early 20th century, this paste with its soft grey-green hues became one of the characteristic expressions of the manufacture's chromatic research. Unlike a simple decoration or a colored glaze, celadon paste directly imparts its hue to the porcelain material. Haviland continued to use it throughout the 20th century, right up to contemporary productions.
