The Nymphéa shape by Royal Limoges originates from the Apollon design, created by the G.D.A. (Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbott) manufactory and awarded a Grand Prix at the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris. Although this historical connection is established, the identity of the original designer remains uncertain, as does the possible reuse of the original moulds.

These bowls come from a manufacturer's clearance. They are not stamped and were classified as second-quality pieces when they left the factory. They are new and preserved in their original condition; minor variations or irregularities associated with this classification may be present, although no obvious defects are apparent.
