The body, side handles and lid share the same restrained and structured design, while the vertical lines of the handles are highlighted with fine sepia-brown bands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"938\"\u003eThis geometric form is paired with a polychrome floral decoration composed of small bouquets of roses, pansies, cornflowers and wildflowers, complemented by delicate stylised sepia-brown ornaments. The contrast between the rigour of the form and the more traditional character of the decoration is particularly appealing. The decoration appears to be later than the conception of the form and may suggest that the manufacturer reused an earlier shape with a renewed decoration adapted to changing tastes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1397\"\u003eThis possibility is particularly interesting given that the Société Porcelainière Limousine, heir to the former Royal Manufacture, is documented in the collections of the Musée national Adrien Dubouché for productions spanning, among others, 1937–1947, 1945 and 1949.
