Covered sugar bowl with two handles – Bernardaud
Description
With the richness of its molded decoration, this covered Limoges porcelain sugar bowl illustrates the savoir-faire of L. Bernardaud & Cie in relief work. Fluting alternates with a delicate crosshatch pattern, creating a subtle play of light and shadow that enlivens the whiteness of the porcelain.
Its balanced silhouette is completed by two elegantly curved handles and a matching lid topped with a knob finial. Entirely white, without painted decoration, it highlights the finesse of the modeling and the quality of the porcelain.
The bottom bears the mark B & C° Limoges France, used by L. Bernardaud & Cie during the second half of the 20th century.
Very good condition, without cracks or chips.
