Art Deco Coffee Set – Limoges Unique – Limoges, c. 1930

Very fine Art Deco coffee set in Limoges hard-paste porcelain, comprising a coffee pot and a milk jug.

The geometric form, cutaway facets, and vertical fluting highlighted with gold trim create a design characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic. The angular handles and faceted finials reinforce the architectural character of the set.

The “Limoges Unique” mark visible on the underside corresponds to a collective mark created in 1929 by Limoges porcelain manufacturers to identify their production. This mark was used for a relatively short period, mainly during the 1930s.

A particularly representative example of the Art Deco taste for geometric forms and the combination of the whiteness of porcelain with gold.

Good overall condition considering its age. The gilding is very slightly patinated in places. The underside of the pot shows old radial hairline cracks. This does not affect its watertightness.
