Set of Four Teacups – Manufacture La Porcelaine Limousine – Limoges, c. 1910

Set of four Limoges hard-paste porcelain teacups, produced by the La Porcelaine Limousine manufactory in the early 20th century.

The cups feature a scalloped form with gadrooned facets, highlighted by a fine gold rim. Their Louis XVI-inspired decoration combines a purple geometric frieze with garlands, medallions, stylised flowers, and pendant motifs, delicately accented with gold.

A refined set, characteristic of the taste for historicist and Neo-Louis XVI decoration that remained popular in Limoges at the turn of the 20th century.

The underside of one of the cups bears the green “PL / LIMOGES FRANCE” mark, attributed to the La Porcelaine Limousine manufactory, a mark used from 1906 onwards. Saucers are not included in the set.
