Pair of Very Fine Porcelain Coffee Cups – Limoges, 1st half of the 20th century

This pair of white Limoges porcelain coffee cups stands out for the fineness of its paste, its luminous whiteness, and its crystalline sound, characteristic of high-quality porcelain.

Both cups have a slightly flared shape, highlighted by a delicate embossed decoration running just below the rim. The base also features small undulations that harmoniously extend the decoration of the upper part.

The scroll-shaped handles, particularly elegant and slender, are the main decorative element. Their sinuous design gives the set a very refined character, inspired by 18th-century forms.

The set can be dated to the first half of the 20th century, probably between 1900 and 1940. In the absence of a mark identifying the manufacturer, the pieces are presented as Limoges porcelain, manufacturer unidentified.

A sober model in its whiteness, yet remarkable for the quality of its shape and embossed details, suitable for everyday use or for display in a collection of antique porcelain. They are also suitable for pod or capsule machines.
