Set of Two Glazed Stoneware Small Serving Dishes – Anne-Cécile Prunier – Ambrugeat (Corrèze), 2026
Description
Set of two wheel-thrown stoneware small serving dishes, made by ceramicist Anne-Cécile Prunier, based in Ambrugeat, Corrèze. Both pieces have a low, rounded and subtly irregular form, preserving the spontaneity of the wheel-thrown gesture.
The decoration features a mineral-toned glaze combining shades of off-white, grey and sandy beige. Fine brown speckles punctuate the surface, while broad, irregular areas of grey extend across the sides and interior of the pieces. Variations in colour, texture and glaze density are characteristic of the handmade process and firing, giving each dish its own individual character.
Simple yet expressive, these small dishes can be used to serve side dishes, desserts or small preparations, or displayed as decorative ceramic pieces. Each dish is signed on the underside by the artist.
Anne-Cécile Prunier creates functional stoneware pottery, primarily wheel-thrown, and develops her own glaze research using raw materials and oxides. Her pieces are gas-fired at high temperature, around 1,280°C.
