Dinner Plate – Taï-Yuan – Manufacture Charles Field Haviland – Limoges, Late 20th Century

Celadon Limoges porcelain dinner plate by Manufacture Charles Field Haviland, Taï-Yuan pattern, featuring a remarkable polychrome decoration inspired by the Imari aesthetic.

The centre features a refined floral composition of peony blossoms and foliage in deep blue and coral red, accented with delicate touches of gold.

The decoration continues around the rim with a succession of stylized butterflies, floral bouquets and small blossoms, framed by blue geometric reserves and borders. A fine red-brown line highlights the outer edge of the plate.

The reverse bears the mark “Ch. Field Haviland – Limoges”, together with the inscription “Taï-Yuan” and the mention “filets faits main” (“hand-painted borders”), attesting to the care given to the finishing details.

Excellent condition. The porcelain remains glossy and the decoration is remarkably well preserved.
