Plate – Manufacture Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot – Limoges, c. 1955–1965

White Limoges porcelain plate with a scalloped shape and softly undulating contours. The rim is structured by delicate radiating panels in relief, highlighted by fine fluting. A discreet gold line frames the well, while the outer edge is enhanced with more pronounced gilding.

The simplicity of the white ground particularly highlights the craftsmanship of the form: the relief, radiating lines, and scalloped contours give the plate a refined elegance without excessive decoration.

The “GDA LIMOGES FRANCE” mark corresponds to Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot, a manufactory located on Rue Donzelot in Limoges, whose history later continued under the names SLGP and Royal Limoges. The manufactory is now known as Royal Limoges.
